mnoo tools InDesign album templates FAQ
Are the InDesign templates easy to use?
Why yes, yes they are! While I would prefer for you to have at least a basic understanding of how InDesign works, it won’t take you very long to get to grips with. One of my Beta testers had used InDesign just for a week prior to testing the templates and reported that they had no problems what so ever.
What’s included in the download?
There will be a .pdf “User Guide”, which is a short guide to the templates, and multiple InDesign page template (.imdl) and library files (.indl) for different size books.
Are your templates both PC and MAC compatible?
Yes!
Are the templates only compatible with certain album companies?
Nope! You can export your layouts as jpgs or as a pdf (whichever your album company prefers) and use them with any company you wish.
I’ve opened the file, now what do I do?
Read the ‘User Guide’ PDF first, it will tell you how to get started.
What’s the difference between a page and a spread?
There are two pages on one spread. The page templates provided use spreads.
When using the templates the images look awful on my screen. Am I doing something wrong?
InDesign uses low-resolution images as a default so that your computer can run faster. Go to View > Display Performance > High Quality Display to change this setting if you wish. The full resolution images will always be used for export though, make sure you only place print quality images into your layouts.
What versions of InDesign do the templates work with?
The templates have been tested and work perfectly on CS4, CS5 and CS5.5.
Can I install the templates onto multiple computers?
As long as that computer is yours, that’s fine. Just do not make copies or share with anyone else.
